Inmotionhosting claim 99.9% uptime on share hosting on sale page, but after buying plan I got 16 times down time in a weak.
When I complaint the issue with website monitor report they said to upgrade VPS for better uptime, their is no uptime guarantee on shared hosting plan.
When you buy shared hosting on inmotion, you will get good service for 3 month, after they will send you a "Server shift" email and transfer to another server where you will have downtime every day.
So don't buy inmotionhosting.

I would like to say I do NOT have a clue why this hosting company is rated so highly. I've been hosted with this company for about 2 years now and I've had NOTHING but problems. The ONLY reason why we have stayed with them for this long is because of the hassle of switching over to yet ANOTHER host. At this point we don't know what hosts to trust.
Just this month our website has been down at LEAST 4 times and they have not refunded us money, gave us a heads up, nothing at all. We signed up for what is FAKE information "Unlimited Bandwidth" and they shut our website down for using too much bandwidth. That is fine, but when they tell us that we have unlimited bandwidth and then I have contact them to ASK them why my website is shut down out of the blue, and they respond with "Even though you have unlimited bandwidth it is hard to track the amount of bandwidth you use" is ridiculous. They NEVER have ONCE warned us about maintenance, why our website has been shut down, NOTHING. Out of the time we have been there our website has been shut down NUMEROUS times a month, with NO warning. We had even called to tell them to put on our account to warn us if there was going to be any maintenance and all that and they still have not once reached out to us.
We have a SMALL business and for them to be known for "Best for businesses" is 100% untrue. We have lost a LOT of money because of them shutting down at points where we needed our website to be up and running 100%. We will be switching hosts THIS week. This hosting company is FAR worse that the host we were with before, and I keep giving them the benefit of the doubt, because I know how it is to run a hosting company as I have done a lot of research to start my own at webhostingtalk.com, but they are just down right horrible. I am warning you all do NOT sign up for them these reviews are all a joke to me.

Given how rapidly the internet environment changes it is important to have good support in dealing with challenges as they arise. The experience with InMotion support has been far superior to other hosting companies we have dealt with. Their level of technical expertise is high and issues are promptly resolved. We particularly appreciate the clarity of explanations they provide because this helps us increase our own knowledge and understanding.
Have been with Inmotion for 2 years and so far so good. No downtime experienced with my personal site at all!
I recommended it to my boss and we are currently hosting our business site with them, and although there were a few downtime issues, their customer support is EXCELLENT. They are very polite and very keen to assist you in any way they can!

I have had several different hosting companies through the years and inmotionhosting is BY FAR the best. For starters, I can't believe how fast my site runs on their servers compared to Fatcow and even Godaddy. The best thing about inmostionhosting however is their customer service. I'm not that tech savvy and didn't have the budget to hire someone to help setup my wordpress website. I had a million questions for the customer service reps, which was largely unrelated to what a hosting company would normally provide service for, and at no point did they try to brush me aside. All my questions were answered and my site it up. This company is in a league of their own when compared to other hosting companies I have dealt with in the past.
Whenever anyone asks me about hosting companies, I always recommend InMotion. Been with them since they were first getting going. The reason I do is because of their tech support. They didn't have great documentation way back when, so I had to rely on support. Always great, always timely, always pleasant to deal with. Now that they have so many more tools and the documentation is developed, I don't have to turn to them as often, but when I do, they are unfailingly the best out there. You can't go wrong with InMotion.

I am in the process of changing hosting for my non-profit to InMotion. From my Sales Web Chat to chats with Technical Support and phone calls to Technical Support, the customer service has been remarkable- competent, caring, people who go the extra mile. And the tutorials and articles are excellent, covering both instructions for a specific task as well as explanations of the "big picture," the Web and how your site will fit into it.
Don't get me wrong; the process of changing hosts is not that difficult for someone who knows something about the Web. I don't! I'm not even an IT person, but InMotion personnel have been most kind and understanding in making sure the change process goes smoothly even fro a newbie like me.

There may be hosting companies who claim to have better server speed, but none can claim better customer support. Inmotion hosting has is down cold. Some complain that requests get sent to a second tier tech, but you are never left hanging. They get back to you ASAP. This kind of support can only give you confidence that your site is in good hands.
Quick turn arounds with helpful advice. I host 5 sites with them and will continue to do so for a long time. Yes, I recommend them to my friends.

I was experiencing a problem with my site regularly timing out and the good folks on the tech support team helped provide a solution. They were quick to respond and continued the conversation as a solution was implemented. I am happy that I chose InMotion as my host. Highly recommended.
Its very rare to find a company that provides such excellent customer service - especially when the price of their services is so reasonable to begin with! It really is the best of everything. If you are ever looking for a hosting service InMotion is the way to go!

They are a real solid, reputable and responsible company. We've only had a few minor issues and each has been resolved with exceptional speed and professionalism. You can't go wrong here, with unlimited space and bandwidth, supported by excellent and dedicated individuals, there is no where else to look (as the price is super right too). These guys nailed it! Look no further, they are where you should host all of your domains!
Just switched over from Godaddy and can't be happier. I had too many problems with Godaddy and the shared hosting was making my site really slow to load. They made the site transfer very smoothly. Their tech support department is very helpful, ask for Edward, he spends hours to make sure that everything is in order. So far so good
I moved my hosting to InMotionhosting. Not because of the special offers, not the smart solutions and extras, not the dedicated servers and what have you. The only reason that matters to me is the excellent and dedicated service I always get from Shawn, Nick, Lars and the others. If you need help, you get it. That's the only good reason I need. Probably the best support team in the hosting business.

I left JustHost to come to InMotion for several reasons. Firstly, my site on JustHost was down 15-20% of the time. Totally unacceptable. Secondly, the customer service at JustHost was just atrocious. Never got any legitimate answers for why my site was down. Just the usual run around from department to department and lots of waiting in between.
During my short stint with InMotion, my WordPress site has been hacked twice (through no fault of InMotion) and my site's server has suffered a DDoS attack. Through it all however the support staff was always willing to answer questions and help me resolve these problems. And through all of these issues, my site has still been up about 99% of time.
Also, props to Scott M. with InMotion for helping me resolve a particular WordPress hack. I was blown away by his knowledge of WordPress and the database configuration behind WordPress. Got me back up and running in about 10 minutes. Without his knowledge I would have been searching on Google for another hour at least. Kudos to him and the team for getting my site up and running again after that phishing hack on my site.
Look, stuff happens. It's inevitable. But at the end of the day you want a support staff that can help you through it all.
And you know all those reviews about InMotion's awesome customer service? Well, that's because it's all true. It's what helped me decide on InMotion (from JustHost). And it's what got me to write this testimonial.

It seems that every company in America claims to have great customer service these days. Most companies seem to think that if they keep you on hold for less than two minutes they have done a great job.
I don't normally write reviews and the only reason I am writing this is because every time (and I mean EVERY TIME) I have contacted Inmotionhosting, they have answered my questions or solved my problems immediately. In addition every representative I have contacted seems to have a great attitude. Even when I know I am asking fairly rudimentary questions they have never made me feel like it is an inconvenience to give a complete answer.
I did a lot of research choosing a hosting company and so far am very pleased with InMotion. I have called them several times with questions and have always been swiftly greeted by helpful, knowledgable staff. It is definitely worth spending a couple of bucks a month more to get such excellent service!

I wanted to let you know that to date I have had 3 conversations with people on your helpdesk. My latest conversation was with Shawn and just like the previous conversations with the other people, he was exceedingly helpful, polite, professional and a pleasure to work with. Its quite refreshing to work with people that are so pleasant and willing to help as well as being knowledgeable.
One would think that it should be a given to expect the words in the title to be a part of customer service, but alas, it is not. I have been dealing with a frustrating situation on my site that has nothing to do with InMotion. But, in dealing with them, I am encountering people who have been going out of their way to make my transition as easy as they can. They definitely deserve the five stars for what I have received so far.
We moved out of desperation after being totally off-line for a month with Dreamhost. We tried contacting them, but the only way to contact them was via e-mail. After no response for nearly a week, we threatened legal action because all our files were gone. They finally exported our databases and restored our files so we could get out of there fast. In the process of moving our content and importing our databases, InMotion Hosting has been amazingly helpful... cordial customer service that is knowledgeable AND there is an actual phone number to call to reach someone! Amazing experience so far...

I had such a great 24 hours of service with inmotion. I pressed two numbers on the 800 number and was immediately connected with Paul. He answered a few of my questions politely and quickly. Then, over the next day I worked with 3 different reps and via chat and they were all awesome. Jason A was patient and worked with me for well over an hour as I migrated my site to inmotion's servers. Tim E helped me to check on a few issues I found in my site. They both went above and beyond any customer help service I have ever received. As long as this remains the experience, they have me for the life of my film blog.

I really appreciate all the help from the support department. I talked to Nick W. about upgrading to dedicated elite. I told him I needed the upgrade fast as my site is getting a lot of traffic. While I was talking to him I placed the order and he passed it through for me so it could be processed as soon as possible. I couldn't believe it when a few hours later I received an email saying my upgrade have been processed and completed with the old server running for 24 hours next to the new server to make sure there would be no problem (like down time). That's amazing because normally upgrade takes at least a few days. I have never seen a hosting company work this fast and everything is working perfectly too. Nick W. made this happen for me but it's not just him doing all he can to help, it's the whole support department. I have talked to many of support and they're always ready to help no matter how long it takes. There are not many hosting companies with a support team like that.
Just want to share my experience. Inmotion Hosting support team is doing an excellent job. Thus far they have never let me down (and I have talked to them many times). Keep up the good work. Thanks again for everything.

I've been hosting my company's site with InmotionHosting for quite a few years. In that time I've had one awkward experience - which the company profusely apologized for. Never been repeated. On the contrary, the service I get from them is exceptional. When I have a question, the response is detailed and thorough. I've steered friends from hosting elsewhere because I know they'll get great support from InmotionHosting.

Ok i've been with Inmotion over a month and my experience is great. I had problems on my server like every other hosting company have but the way they're adressed is the key in this business and i'm very happy because the support will fix any issue you might encounter. So why do i recommend Inmotion ? Because it has the best servers ? Perhaps but their support is the best ! If you want reliability on your servers Inmotion is the place for you.

I have enjoyed immediate live customer service with Inmotionhosting, either by telephone or live chat. Any problems that I have had have always been because of my inexperience in setting up a site. Never the less, Inmotionhosting has always treated me with the same regard for my patronage as they would their larger accounts. Also, Inmotionhosting has excellent diagrams and step-by-step tutorials and educational pages that address most any application. I have never experienced any impatience with customer service despite my not taking the time to work through the tutorials, but now that I see how comprehensive the tutorials are I will choose those first out of courtesy to Inmotionhosting. Their service ushers in a standard that many online service companies either avoid or cannot successfully implement.
