Interparcel Lies!

Like the other reviewers, if things go well, that's wonderful. but when things go badly, they make up all sorts of stories instead of fixing the problem. Often, they'll be doing "depot" searches that exist only in the mind of interparcel.

When you call the carrier directly, nothing has been done or processed.
It's the worst kind of broker. Pay them upfront, but if there's a problem, it's not a "guaranteed" service, they are doing a "depot search" (code for piss off). or "we'll get back to you after the ETA" which basically is code for, lets hope you forget about this so we can keep our greedy hands on your money for longer.

DREADFUL - THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS WRONG!

I sent 3 parcels using this company, who then get other companies to collect and deliver. In this case UPS. 2 of the packets were the same size, weight, packaging, and had the same contents - mirrors. One of them made it safely up North. The other, which went South, made it to within about 10 miles of the delivery address, having travelled about 200 miles, and delivery was the aborted. It later turned out, not by Interparcels disclosure, but by my hunting, that the mirror had been smashed. It got returned to the sender, 'Interparcel', who declared that "the packaging was not good enough, tough, you're not having any compensation, your fault, end of". No ifs, no buts, no questions answered. Did the driver throw the mirror? Was it dropped from a height? Was something thrown on top of the mirror? How can a package travel so far and yet get handed to a diffferent UPS driver to become smashed?! No questions asked. We, the customer to Interparcel, are at fault for poor packaging. I could go on, but its not worth it. Used them once. Never again.

Terrible Customer Service. Will never use again

Booked this at 11.30 and courier never showed up. Interparcel told me to wait till 6, then told me they could do nothing so I should contact TNT. TNT then said they were never sent the booking.

The guys at Interparcel refused to try and help, refused to upgrade telling me that actually "it is a non-guaranteed service". I was told that they would rebook it for the next day but were not prepared to do anything to placate me or to try and retain me as a customer. Also they would not confirm that the same thing would not happen the next day.

I would advise anyone who was thinking of using them to not. Stay as far away as possible. Cowboys with no Customer Service Care at all.

Good booker, shame (sometimes) about the courier services.

I use Interparcel every week, they're doing a lot right so I keep coming back to them. Sometimes there are issues (as with the order that prompted this review), which are the courier/carriers fault (not Interparcel themselves), and Interparcel have always been able to sort it out. Not instantly, sometimes it takes a while, but they've always come through.

Absolute rubbish

I used interparcel to send some very important equipment to Scotland. It was was vitally important that it arrived Monday and I even called up to double check this. The parcel was collected no problem however the next day when I tracked the parcel it said it arrived in Glasgow. The nest time I checked it (Friday) said delivery failed. When I looked further into this they has refused to deliver it because instead of the label saying 'Council' it said 'Counci' The L had been knocked off and they refused to deliver it. This happened at 12.30 and I saw it at 4.30. They hadn't contacted me to ask for the correct spelling just left it. Numerous calls and using their online helper, I spoke to interparcel on 8 seperate occasions and each time the person I spoke to, no matter what accent, was called Kirsty. Funny that. So when I eventually got some sense out of Kirsty she said that the address had now been changed and they would deliver it first thing Monday. Monday lunch time came and still no parcel. I rang interparcel again, you can guess who I spoke to. 'Kirsty' then informed me my parcel wouldn't be delivered as it takes 24 hours for the address change to happen. The fact it had been a whole weekend didn't faze her. 'Kirsty' then said she would see and get back to me. However a miracle happened and at 3.30pm my parcel finally reached it's destination.

'Kirsty' emailed me back eventually on Tuesday lunch time to let me know that they would be delivering my item that afternoon. My item that had already been delivered the previous day. Words fail me.

The level of service I have received over the last year has been great
Only one parcel reported with damage and the refund was sorted our quickly and efficiently.
I have sent in excess of 75 parcels in the last 12 months most of them fairly fragile
Today somehow a collection was double booked, one email and I was credited within 2 hours
Collection reliable and always on time and courteous drivers

Was worried but it all went smoothly!

I had to return 2 motorcycle helmets to from the UK to the US and the company has specifically requested either to use Fedex or UPS. Quotes directly from either courier was about £130-£160. Interparcel was £70 including insuring it up to the value of £500. I booked the Fedex economy on the 1st May for next day collection (London address) without reading any reviews about interparcel and after reading the mixed reviews I did consider cancelling. I felt a bit more relieved when a Fedex uniformed man collected my parcel and it started tracking straight away. Obviously, I was dubious until the parcel actually got to the destination as I have read other stories where parcel has been lost en route or left in the warehouse. The parcel arrived safely on 6 May in one piece. I would use interparcel again and I like also to point out they don't do the couriering, so if your goods get damaged or lost its the courier service you have chosen, although interparcel should have the duty to deal with any customer disatisfaction on your behalf.

Good price; good pickup and delivery; but rough handling destroyed the package even though it was marked fragile

I used Interparcel to ship an old but working computer and monitor to a friend. These are on the list of restricted items and are therefore not insured. I packed the items carefully in bubble wrap placed them and in heavy duty or double boxes, making sure that all sides of the boxes were padded with packing materials. I wrote FRAGILE many times on every side of each box. I have in my life packed many boxes and not one has ever arrived with broken contents before. The pick up and delivery were swift and on time; in the presence of witnesses, both drivers handled the boxes carefully. The price was super: I paid £28 instead of £82 for UPS standard delivery. I could not have afforded to send these boxes at the UPS price. But someone must have dropped the box containing the monitor from a considerable height or dropped something very heavy on top of it from a height, completely ignoring the FRAGILE labels. Perhaps knowing that these items were not insured, they just didn't care. The monitor arrived smashed in several places; it no longer works. The computer we think made it, but we haven't been able to check this without a monitor. I would therefore not recommend using either UPS or Interparcel unless your items are insured. I am confident that, had they been insured, they would have been treated with more care. Although the items themselves were not worth much money, they meant the world to my disabled friend because they promised to connect him to the world out there. He was so looking forward to being on the net and was devastated and disappointed to find that the broken monitor means he cannot be. Have a heart, UPS. Take care of what you ship even when it is not insured. Be concerned about things besides money. Do a good and careful job. That said, Interparcel did its job getting me a good price and arranging prompt pickup and delivery. But I would never go this route again without insurance. What's the point of paying ANYTHING, even at a good price, if the item is going to be demolished by careless employees?

USE AN ALTERNATIVE COMPANY IF POSSIBLE

Owing to my own stupidity, I have now used this company 8 times and 4 of those times the courier didn't tuirn up on the day and one box that was collected was returned to me 4 weeks later. It is very difficult to get any information from the customer service team and they are unwilling to put you directly in touch with the courier. I have definitely seen the error of my ways and won't be using them again!

Don't show up. Not even an apology, wasting customers time!

Booked a courier a week ahead asking for a specific time block. Rang them up x2 to confirm. No one showed up at all, not even outside of requested time block. Spoke to a Lee-Ann from customer service, was told they will try again. No apologies, no offer for resolution. Processed like a robot...Thank you for wasting people's time. I hope you have to wait between 9 and 6.30 and waste your life, your children's time, your work time and your job....because hey, no one else's has a life and just have to sit and wait for a courier that...oh, can't pick up!?!? I'm not sure why they bother to go into business at all, why not just shut down all the call centers and save us the time wasted talking to them?

Great for eBay Sellers

I used to ship all of my online auction items using the shipping feature built into the payment method of the auction site (Royal Mail or ParcelForce being only options) because it was convenient and the prices were the same as they would be if I took it to the Post Office.

In March, one of my eBay buyers suggested I should try Interparcel. I was dubious at first because they offer ParcelForce prices that are lower than the Post Office site or the auction site. They also offer other services from other couriers (such as Hermes, Collect+ and UPS). That said, I decided to give them a go.

Out of the various options, the Interparcel Standard service offers the best value for money in most cases and they will collect from where I work (Bonus = no more trips to the Post Office). This service is just under £10 for up to 15kg which beats Royal Mail hands down. On top of this, the service is provided by UPS and most parcels are delivered the next day!

Even before the recent Royal Mail price hike, Interparcel was MUCH cheaper than Royal Mail/ParcelForce for heavy or bulky packages. Since the hike, it's a no-brainer. I have used InterParcel about 5 times now and it has made life a lot easier and cheaper. Every parcel has so far arrived the day after it was collected - each one for under £10. For me, choosing how to ship something is now as simple as:

Letters & Small Parcels = Royal Mail
Medium Parcels over ~2kg = Interparcel

i have sent a parcel to Croatia and paid £50 + vat after 13 days interparcel contacted us for commercial invoice which i provided and few days later the parcel returned back to us, phoned interparcel and saying that the invoices was late which was a lie as we had a proof of confirmation email that they have received the email, after they checked their system saying that yes they have received the invoice but we should have contacted them earlier as there is a self tracking system on their website, i said when i tracked it was saying in transit how would i know if there was a problem as there was no warning at all and told them that it is your responsibility to notify your costumer if there was a problem or in your tracking system put a warning and asked for a refund and been told go to court to get our money, i would not suggest to use this company as they are rubbish

Excellent Service !!!

I have used Interparcel several times now without problem. Recently I sent a parcel to China. All the tracking shows is that the receiver refused the parcel but the receiver claims it was stopped at customs. Whichever, I guess I will never know. This lead to a troublesome time in trying to get the parcel returned to me but Interparcel and in particular Becky Blythe were superb. I think Becky must have got fed up of hearing from me but I was genuinely concerned as my parcel was showing as abandoned at customs and I feared it would be simply disposed of. Becky did an outstanding job in organising the return of the parcel.
Great service and brilliant to deal with a customer services department who do care about their customers and do their utmost when things do not quite go to plan. I will certainly be using Interparcel in the future

Very Very bad services

I booked a parcel on wednesday 17/04/13 to collect from Bracknell and deliver it to Edinburgh on Thursday with INTERPARCEL. they did not pick up on Wednesday and called them on thursday and asked them why they did not pick up. the lady told me over the phone " all i can do is to rebook to pickup on friday and deliver it on monday. I agreed and rebooked. and on friday they did not pick up again. I called them and asked them what is going on? she told me the same thing " all i can do is to rebook or cancel. Rebooked. Pray for me...
Very very bad services. and worse ever customer services. They do not know how to deal with customer.
I will not use their services again and will ask every reader to keep away from this company.

Hard to deal with customer service, not friendly at all.

You need to make a complain to resolve your issue after ignored with the customer service.

I hardly got my refund and I believe leaving negative feedback works well to get their attantion

Broke the goods but coughed up!

Sent a B&O music center by Interparcel. Used enormous amounts of Bubblewrap and cardboard but the perspex lid had been smashed as if dropped from two to three feet on to its edge.
When you read the fine print Interparcel want photos of the packaging so take photos as you pack it and keep them until the goods arrive safely, which I didn't. The recipient of your parcel will probably bin the packaging without photographing it, as mine did.
Interparcel decided to trust me and refunded the cost of a new lid from eBay, but my professional position and role as past Treasurer and Secretary to a national charity helped. I wouldn't expect them to believe everyone.

Excellent, very reasonably priced, door-to-door service.

I booked Interparcel.com to deliver a large footstool I'd just bought on line from a shop in Doncaster to my home on Teesside. The shop's regular courier service had quoted a price I felt was way too high and could be improved on. So, I began doing some research.... Beware those very low-cost couriers - just read what unhappy customers have to say about them! Interparcel had good reviews and quoted a competitive rate. My footstool was collected at about 3.50pm on a Wednesday afternoon and delivered to my door just before midday the following day. Now, you can't really argue with that, can you? Wouldn't hesitate to use them again. More power to their elbow! Many thanks.

Awful! AVOID!!!

Awful! I booked a courier and arranged to work from home on the arranged day(s) so I could be in.
1st attempt - courier didn't turn up
2nd attempt - courier came but outside the time window arranged so wasn't able to make the pickup
3rd attempt - courier claimed to come, knock on the door and ring the doorbell. However I have a coded gate at the end of my street and was in all day and recieved no calling card

The communication throughout, whilst prompt, was awful and I never recieved an apology or an explanation. Just an automated response requesting my order number and another time/date to rearrange the courier for.

I requested, and got, a refund and booked with myhermes.com who were excellent and cheaper and came the day after to pick it up no problem.

AVOID INTERPARCEL AT ALL COSTS!!!

Fantastic service, great choice!

Can't fault this, they give you a selection of delivery providers and their quotes instantly, the price for having a pushchair collected from my house and delivered to the buyer within 48 hours was half the price of Royal mail - and I didn't have to lug the heavy box around myself AND it was insured for damage or loss! Would definately use this site again.

Best move I've made in a long time!

I posted two items with yourselves, one was a pickup from home and the other was a drop off at a determined site, for pick up, at different rates.
I love the fact that I can use these different options of sending, which makes posting items a breeze!
Both parcels were picked up and delivered without any hassle and was able to track both and still can!
I have saved myself approx £16.00 over Royal Mail!

Fast, easy and cheap!

Used this website to send some boxes from the UK to Ireland recently, after several astronomical quotes elsewhere I decided to chance these guys, I'm glad I did. I would thoroughly recommend using this service, the pickups were all on time and friendly, the delivery was accurate and extremely quick and the whole service was very reasonably priced and easy to use.

Quick effective cost comparison and efficient delivery service

I've used Interparcel for some time now for shipping large or bulky Ebay items and other things. The service seems to produce the cheapest available quotes every time and then once booked it emails forms etc for labelling up the parcel. Collection is usually exactly within the selected time scale and items have been delivered on time and in good condition. Recommended!

Let Down...

I won't be using Interparcel again.

Citylink knocked on the wrong door and picked up the wrong parcel from a different address in our building and I was left embarrassed in front of a customer.

"It's not our fault you gave them the wrong parcel" was the advice from Interparcel. Wow. How can I give them the wrong parcel if they didn't come to our door...

Box ticking, patronising, 'computer says no' mentality. Avoid.

Parcelforce via Interparcel

I was really worried having heard previous horror stories of parcelforce, but was left presently surprised. I ordered the Parcelforce Dropoff 48 service, which is the easier option to waiting in for a collection all day. The item was deposited at the local PF depot on Wednesday and the item was then delivered to the recipient Friday morning at 9am. Everything intact. Interparcel certainly makes comparing courier services easier and uptil now, I've found it's the best price website to do so.

A first class service

Having suffered at the hands of other couriers I was anxious that Interparcel would be similar. I need not have worried. The parcel was collected and delivered on time and intact. I would have liked to cover the entire cost of the item using the insurance but could only cover part of its value due to company policy. This was my only gripe. Otherwise they offered a first class service and I would recommend them.

Cheap but unreliable

Liked the cheapness and range of couriers that were available. Interparcel seem well put together but failed to pick up my package on the agreed date; not even a phone call to explain or reschedule. Not sure whether this would be down to City Link but the contract was with Interparcel so held them mostly responsible. May use again in the future but, for now, will stick with royal mail

Fantastic, only wish I had used them first instead yodel.

I first used yodel to collect my tent from Manchester. This was only due to the weight of it. They failed on 3 occasions to collect it.
Went online to Interparcel who got Parcelforce to collect it. All done in 24 hours.
If want a job done right, always use professionals.
Never ever use yodel. I guess thats what people do when then yodel doesn't deliver.
I'll always recommend Interparcel

Not good

First ever time I used this service. Parcel collection booked for Monday morning before 1pm. Driver calls at 11am and really shouts at us saying he'll be there sometime after 1pm but before 5pm and if we'd read the small print we'd know that. As a first time experience wasn't good.

Brilliant reliable service!

i have used Interparcel on many occasions and i find their service to be very reliable. I have seen some bad reviews on this site and i cant believe they are talking about the same company. On one occasion i used interparcel to send a pallet to one of our very respected clients and i needed it there as soon as possible and interparcel arranged a next day collection as requested and it was delivered the very next day also as requested and our client commented on what a fast and reliable service it was. I have always been happy with Interparcel and will continue to use their services.

Overall Good service

After paying over the odds prices using the post office i though i'd give Interparcel a go,
From the word go the website was easy to use and the layout simple to understand.
Within 20mins of submitting my order using Interparcel UK Standard (UPS) i had the driver at my door ready to collect the parcel!

Found the online tracking helpful and again simple to use and understand, came in handy when i had an issue with the customer not being in upon delivery ! Just one simple call to their customer services and had the parcel delivered to the customer the next day !
Will use them again and recommend them.

Keep up the good Work Interparcel !

Excellent service and fantastic rates!

I've used Interparcel on many occasions and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Their rates are as low as you can get, but the service is second to none. I usually use UPS for my UK deliveries as I've never had a late parcel and the driver is super friendly!
If you are looking to send a parcel then you won't find a better company than Interparcel!
